The Family
Steve and Karen have been married for thirty-one years. They are the proud parents of three good-natured and talented children, ages 21 to 28. They homeschooled their children and appreciated the value of having them at home. All of their children — referenced as K-Bird, Kangaroo, and Rabbit in blog posts — help or have helped with the childcare in various capacities.
Steve is physically disabled and writes part-time from home. He enjoys keeping up on his blogs, Waldenswits and CoRailroads.com. He is active in his role as a father and enjoys investing through meaningful conversations with the kids and others who come into our home. His favorite song to teach the young ones is "Jesus Loves Me."
Karen is a licensed family home childcare provider. She has sequentially cared for children from several different families since 2003, and she obtained her license in 2010 after a confidential donor stepped forward to cover the training fees and facility improvements required to meet various state regulations. Karen greatly enjoys investing in the lives of little ones, and she views each child as God's unique creation, worthy of love and tender kindness.
Lion’s Pride Creations, LLC is a family-based small business focused on the talents and individual giftings that we are using to glorify God. Specifically, we focus on childcare within our home as God gives us children to nurture and bless. Our name comes from the symbolism that we are part of the Lion of Judah's pride, and we are part of the Creator's creation. We pray that we will be used to honor and bless others in their specific areas of need.
